Juventus left-back Paolo De Ceglie believes his side have what it takes to beat Napoli when both sides lock horns at the Juventus Stadium this weekend.
It a massive game this weekend as Juventus are currently top of the Serie A after picking up 19 points from their opening seven games, but they are only ahead of second-placed Napoli on goal difference.
Despite it still being early days in the season, Saturday’s clash is already looming as crucial in this year’s Scudetto race but De Ceglie is confident his side will pick up all three points against the Partenopei.
“Both sides have strengthened and Saturday’s game will be of a very high level,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“We’re aware of our potential and we just have to express it on the pitch.
“We’ll be playing at Juventus Stadium and our fans will support us and give us that little bit extra.”
The 26-year-old also revealed the Bianconeri are determined the retain the league title, although he admits the UEFA Champions League is also a competition they want to do well in.
“We want to follow up our Scudetto achievement from last year,” De Ceglie added. “But we also have a great desire to show what we can do in the Champions League.
“It’s an important season and we want to do well.”
Juve have been held to draws in their opening two games in Europe’s elite club competition, and are currently third in Group E behind Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk.
