Reports in England suggest that Atletico Madrid are interested in Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez as the man to fill Radamel Falcao’s boots should the striker be sold as expected in January.
Falcao has been brilliant this yeart and Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are all queuing up to meet his £46m release clause.
Falcao has already expressed his desire to leave Atletico and thee joint La Liga leaders are hoping that the Mexican striker can be his replacement.
Hernandez was signed by Manchester United for a fee of around £7m in 2010, but after a fantastic first season, he has fallen behind Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Robin van Persie in the Old Trafford pecking order this season.
Chicharito is valued at around €15m by Manchester United, which is only a fraction of what they will receive from the Falcao transfer.
