Blackburn Rovers owner Anuradha Desai says that Blackburn have made a formal offer of £6.2m bid for AC Milan’s Ronaldinho.
Rovers’ new owners Venky’s have claimed on their Facebook and Twitter accounts that they had offered 30-year-old Brazil international Ronaldinho a two-year deal.
Rovers new owners are trying to recover for the bad press they received for firing Sam Allardyce and they obviously feel that bringing the former World Player of the Year to Ewood Park, which show that they are serious about turning Blackburn into more than a mid-table team.
Ronaldinho’s future has been the subject of speculation for some time with the playmaker having just six months to run on his current contract. It was thought he would return to his native Brazil this month with former club Gremio keen to sign the 30-year-old.
But Milan are desperate to get something for Ronaldinho and they would prefer that he goes to Blackburn for £6.2m rather than to Brazil for nothing.
