The Seattle Sounders are gearing up for its first season in MLS next year and it looks like they will have a bog announcement next week, according to MLS Rumors, that they are signing Freddie Ljungberg as their over the hill (sorry designated ) Player.
According to Goal Seattle the official announcement will be made this coming Tuesday.
Ljungberg is not the player that dazzled at Arsenal. He is an over the hill, often injured player who is a shell of his former self. I love the press reports that say that Ljungberg is a free agent after having ended his contract with London club West Ham end in August. West Ham United paid Ljungberg $3 million to simply go away.
Of all the players that Seattle could target to build their team around, is Freddie Ljungberg really the best that they could do?
If you are a Seattle fan, are you happy with this signing?
